Partner Agencies (Non-Profits)

The Borders, Trade, and Immigration Institute seeks to facilitate collaboration among institutions of higher education, national laboratories, and other researchers to counter human trafficking. We are pleased to partner with the following institutions who have agreed to collaborate in various research initiatives:

DeliverFund

DeliverFund disrupts global human trafficking markets by combining uniquely qualified personnel with the best technologies and then leveraging them to reach and rescue victims of human trafficking.

We seek to eliminate human trafficking by combining counterterrorism expertise and experience with cutting-edge technology to put the most reliable intel, data, and training at our law enforcement’s fingertips.

With diligence, we’ve built and maintain the largest analyst-curated human trafficking database in the world. To provide law enforcement and prosecutors with accurate and verifiable intelligence to build criminal cases against traffickers. Together with our partners and supporters, we are transforming the fight against human trafficking in all its forms, wherever it occurs, and we won’t stop until they do.

  • We Equip. DeliverFund proudly serves our law enforcement partners, who are on the frontlines of this fight. We equip them with cutting-edge technology and intel to enhance their investigative capabilities and gather crucial information to build cases and prosecute.
  • We Train. DeliverFund provides patrol officers, analysts, investigators, leadership, and other law enforcement personnel with training on open-source intelligence methodology so they have what they need to stop one of the world’s darkest crimes.
  • We Advise. DeliverFund uses our expertise to provide law enforcement with reliable intelligence on local human trafficking networks. We advise and consult to aid in interdiction, victim assistance, and presenting irrefutable evidence to prosecutors.
  • We Deliver.
In my opinion, Deliverfund is one of the few non-profits that can actually help local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies across the country identify both victims and traffickers. The HT training they provide to Law enforcement is top notch along with their intel program.”

The Network

The Network is an intelligence-driven, counter human trafficking organization. Our mission is to defeat human trafficking networks. Our diverse team leverages skills honed in the intelligence community, data analytics, financial services, and victim services. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Northern Virginia and work with partners across the United States. Our sole focus is the illicit massage industry (IMI) – arguably one of the largest known forms of sex trafficking in the US today. (For reference, there are almost 15,000 illicit massage businesses across the US, almost as many as there are Starbucks in the US.)

The IMI is a network: it is interconnected, complex, dynamic, and growing at a rate of 9% per year. The Network believes we cannot solely arrest or rescue our way out of this problem. We believe an effective approach to counter-human trafficking requires a network of partners with diverse strengths. As retired four-star General Stanley McCrystal once wrote, “To defeat a networked enemy we had to become a network ourselves.”

The Network thinks differently than most counter-trafficking organizations. We provide partners with data, intelligence, and tactics to disrupt trafficking in illicit massage businesses. Our solution is to attack the business model because trafficking exists for only one reason: to make money. Our goal is to completely end trafficking in illicit massage in the US by 2030. The core values of The Network are courage, diversity, excellence, and humility.

UnboundNow

Unbound Now was founded in 2012 to support survivors and resource communities to fight human trafficking. We fight for the protection of the vulnerable, identify the exploited, and advocate for survivors on their path to restoration.  Unbound Now’s programs are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and evidence-based. We have three program areas: Survivor Services, Youth Prevention, and Outreach & Training.

Unbound Now’s Survivor Services centers around our 24/7 Survivor Advocacy program, which includes 24/7 crisis response, case management, and support for survivors in accessing resources on their journeys towards restoration. We meet clients at hospitals in the midst of crisis, work with partner agencies and guardians to secure safe placement, visit youth in detention centers while assisting them through the criminal justice process, and much more. Walking alongside them in their journey also looks like celebrating achievements or birthdays, safety planning current or new situations, or grabbing a meal to build positive relationships.

Our Underground drop-in center provides a short-term resting place for youth survivors recovered from trafficking. Assured of their safety, youth are able to sleep, eat, and unwind as our staff help facilitate next steps, whether that is returning to their home, rehab, shelter, or other long-term residential option. Open 24/7 and with a reputation such that youth on the street take a chance on visiting, the drop-in center provides an open door for a population that has historically been difficult to reach. The Underground provides showers, safety, counseling, and referrals for services for youth through age 22.

The Reagan home provides a safe environment for girls ages 12-17 who have been sexually exploited to heal. Staff work with youth to build coping skills, life skills, and healthy relationships and offer a variety of services to meet the specialized needs of sexually exploited youth. The Reagan provides an evidence-based, trauma-informed home where every girl can experience safety and nurturing care while accessing resources for recovery.

Unbound Now empowers youth to stay safe from trafficking and exploitation through prevention education in schools, juvenile detention centers, and youth-serving organizations. Our early intervention program empowers youth through individualized case management, safety planning, goal-setting, and strengthening support systems within the youth’s community.

Through its Outreach & Training program, Unbound Now facilitates live and on-demand trainings, offering CEUs to equip professionals to identify and respond to human trafficking.

Unbound Now leads and participates in task forces and coalitions, bringing together stakeholders to collaborate in combating human trafficking and serving victims. Unbound Now serves as the lead victim service provider for the Brazos Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and Tarrant County Human Trafficking Task Force and continues to co-lead the Heart of Texas Human Trafficking Coalition. Unbound Now is proud to partner with local, state, and federal law enforcement, children’s advocacy centers, child protective services, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), and other key agencies.

Through collaboration, evidence-based programs, and a dedication to excellence, Unbound Now is creating a future where communities are free from exploitation and survivors are empowered to lead lives of dignity and fulfillment.
